Architectural Products were fortunate in being called upon at an early stage of the design process and were able to actively get involved in the set out and design of the steelwork.

With the use of the APC3 glazing bar fitted with angle brackets bolted each side of the bar stalk lifting the plane of the glazing above the steelwork purlins and simplified the hip and valley details.

Each pane of glass was calculated, cut to size and delivered to site in batches to suit the site progress. Solaglas of Birmingham (www.saint-gobain-glass.com) supplied all of the 6.4mm laminated clear glass used on the project.

With the use of the low profile decorative capping and being weathered at the ridge and hips with Architectural Products pressed aluminium flashings, all finished to polyester powder coating colour white RAL9010, provided the client with a covered walkway that is both elegant and practical.
