Laminated Panels and Bonded Products |
As a result of document L of the building
regulations and having listened to the requirements of our customers we
at Architectural Products now offer a comprehensive range of laminated panels
and insulated flashings that will complement any cladding, curtain walling
or patent glazing system. |

Architectural Products bonded
panels are all factory produced in a controlled environment ensuring quality
checks are performed at various stages of manufacture. The strength of the
panel is gained during the bonding process. By using heat and moisture resistant
adhesives and an insulated core to meet the customer’s specification
the panels are cured using extreme pressure that produces a composite panel
of the highest quality. |

Insulation Core |
There are many different
types of insulation core available for use within a composite panel however
Styrofoam has been found to provide the best performance and is the preferred
insulation core of Architectural Products in the use of all panel and insulated
flashing manufacture. Styrofoam Criteria:
-
• Good insulation values.
• Slow aging process
• Very low absorption of water
• High compressive strength
• Smooth surface ideal for laminating |

Polyester Powder Coated Aluminium |
Aluminium sheet polyester powder
coated to BS 6496 can be bonded to the insulation core to a thickness
to suit the glazing system or with a rebated edge if U-values dictate
a thicker insulation. Panels can be manufactured using aluminium sheet
varying in thickness from 1.2mm to 3mm depending on the panel size and
application.
The polyester powder coating of the panels gives an unlimited choice
of colours with most giving guarantees of 25 years with regular maintenance
and provides customers with a durable, versatile and cost effective panel.

Plastisol Steel |
Manufactured using hot dipped
galvanised HDG substrate with a 200-micron coating of plastisol in either
smooth or leathergrain finish with 27 different colours to choose from.
Using two skins of plastisol and a suitable insulation core these panels
prove to be a popular choice with refurbishments of old curtain walling
facades. The panels are thermally efficient to
suit most glazing applications as a standard sandwich panel however for
instances where the insulation properties need to be greater then the
internal skin of the panel can be rebated to allow a thicker insulation
core to be used.
As well as being able to provide a class 1 surface
spread of flame for fire rated applications these panels provide excellent
UV and impact resistance characteristics. |

Resoplan Panels |
With the use of eternit
resoplan board within the makeup of the panel weather resistance need no
longer be a concern. Specifically developed as a durable exterior cladding
these panels are resistant to the degrading effects of the weather and remains
colour stable. Available in over 50 colours with a smooth or textured finish
these panels give a high performance and quality that is second to none.
